Mr Terry O’Rourke has over twenty eight (28) years’ experience within the property industry, and has worked in the private sector both in Queensland and NSW during this period.
Mr O’Rourke is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and a Certified Practising Valuer in both NSW and Queensland. Terry’s formal qualifications include graduating from the University of New England, Armidale in 1990, with a Bachelor of Economics Degree, and from the University of Western Sydney (UWS) in 2002, with a Bachelor of Commerce (Property Economics) Degree. Terry was granted membership to the “Golden Key International Honour Society” in recognition of outstanding academic achievement and excellence through studies at UWS.
Terry is also a Registered and Licensed Builder in NSW.
Due to his recognised valuation involvement within the Caravan Park, Camping and Leisure industries, Terry was recently engaged to sit on an expert panel to provide guidance to the Department of Lands regarding the determination of market rentals for tourist and associated facilities on Crown Land. He is now retained on a restricted panel as a specialist valuer to undertake such determinations for either the Crown or Leasehold operators throughout NSW.
Terry O’Rourke is also a recognised specialist in Just Terms Compensation, having undertaken numerous compensation assessments for dispossessed owners within the Coffs Harbour and surrounding LGA’s involving the preparation of comprehensive valuations and mediation for the acquisition of freehold properties in regional NSW. Acquiring authorities for the Commonwealth, State and local Governments include Transgrid, Country Energy, local Councils, and the RTA (now RMS), under the provisions of the Land Acquisition (Just Terms Compensation) Act 1991.
